Top Basketball games for Android

From old-time classics to creative young bloods, we break down some of the many ways you can enjoy hoops on your Android phone. Here are the best Android basketball games.

Basketball Stars

It’s hard to go against a classic provider of flash games. Miniclip was the standard bearer in the pre-smartphone age for desktop destroying action and they’ve neatly moved into the mobile space. Basketball Stars will be familiar to plenty of users for its direct and easy to navigate gameplay. While AAA labels might come in with bigger reps due to what they do on consoles, Miniclip knows how to deliver a top time killer.

Basketball Star Slot

Here’s a good mix of what you like about hoops with what you like about gaming. Basketball Star Slot is a creative slots game operating across 5 reels and offering a staggering 243 ways to win. The slots give you a good variety of fond references to basketball to match the multi-faceted route to victory. It’s quick, immensely user friendly, and not a bad drain on your battery either.

Dude Perfect 2

It’s another cracker from Miniclip as they team up with the ultimate trick shot troupe, Dude Perfect, to help you try some utterly ludicrous shots on your smartphone. You’ve seen what Dude Perfect can do on YouTube, now take control of the guys as try some fantastic trick shots of your own.

Stickman Basketball

The beauty of the web is partly down to our desire to reminisce for simply times. Nothing gets simpler than Stickman games where you take a conventional sport, break it down to its barest parts, and then make players work out if they are good enough to compete. The element to always remember with Stickman sports is that simple does not mean easy.

Flappy Dunk

Here’s the Hollywood pitch: It’s basketball but Flappy Bird. That’s essentially what Flappy Dunk is but that simple description doesn’t take away from the screen bashing fun here. There’s something extra soothing about repeatedly dunking a flying basketball than the original Flappy Bird game.

Basketball War 2018

Sometimes playing on the court might seem like too much work, even on your smartphone. Sometimes you want a different kind of control. That’s what Basketball War 2018 delivers as it makes you the general manager as you look to climb the ladder to be the best of the best.

Basketball Gangs 2

The existence of this game reminds me of the movie Fireball and everyone needs to see that Thai classic at least once. It’s a 3×3 game brought to the street with full court action and colourful graphics.

NBA 2k18

Like we were going to ignore the leader in AAA basketball games. What you really have to like about 2K’s more recent mobile efforts is the broader realisation that mobile and big screen require their own unique styles but, crucially, you still have to deliver something to the player who is looking for the Xbox version. For most editions 2k generally couldn’t get the balance right but they have finally delivered here.

I honestly don't have any super scenic shots of Paris but that's fine, I took this while over for a Dell gig there in 2014 and works.
