With the decisive games approaching, I just had a quick look at the games that you can watch as Live Stream on Eurosport this week.
As you know, Eurosport offers free Live Streams of the ULEB Cup and with the newly signed deal, we can hope also to have Live Streaming next season and the 2008 Final8 later in April. But coming back to this week’s action, there will be two very close games that we can follow live.
The ULEB Cup double header will start with an exciting Besiktas Istanbul versus Red Star Belgrade at 18h30 CET. The first game that ended with a 80-80 draw is so the base of a very close and hard to predict situation. For the Serbs, the prospects Elmedin Kikanovic and Tadija Dragicevic were both having a great game last Tuesday with respective 18 and 22 points. But the team will need a stronger Omar Cook (0/9 3s in the first game) in order to beat the Turks. They are led by former Euroleague players Preston Shumpert and Predrag Drobnjak. Both can come up with huge scoring efforts and should be on fire in their hometown arena. So my guess goes for a Besiktas win, especially if you know the atmosphere in their gym.
[youtube xahJu1esZ7o]The second game that Eurosport will broadcast will be Girona versus Hemofarm. The Spanish team that is backed by the Russian company Akasvayu should be the favorite in this decisive game that will start at 20h15 CET. Marc Gasol and his team mates won the first game in Serbia 71-80 thanks to a great third quarter. The Serbs will however be on fire as they will play without their head coach Miroslav Nikolic who has resigned over the weekend. The team, that features some top european prospects like Milan Macvan or Boban Marjanovic will be coached by the two assistants Miodrag Rajkovic and Goran Topic.
