Euroleague draw for 2011-12 complete; whoa, Group A is weird…

The draw for the 2011-12 Euroleague groupings has gone down; things shook out as the following.

So how do you like your side’s chances? (BiE’d say if your team is in Group A, no matter who, you’ve got to be dreaming of advancement already; if dark horses emerge into the Top 16, it’ll be from there. Bilbao in the final eight round, anyone…?

    Group C is the group of death in my opinion with
    Galatasaray or Lietuvos the QR-A in addition.

    Interesting Baskonian derby in groupA (by the way, Caja just signed Lampe)

    Group B is interesting, I think that CSKA will win the first place, second will be Zalgiris and third Pao.

    Zalgiris having an opening game against CSKA at home in a new arena is good, as it’s probably the only chance to beat them (with hopefully full gym of 15k, and keeping in mind that CSKA usually starts slowly). If we succeed, we’ll have a good chance for the 2nd place.

    As an Fenerbahce Fan I was hoping to be in the same group with Olimpiakos rather then Barca, Real or Panatinaikos. If we dont have the same injuries that happened last year (Vidmar,Mirsad and Engin 2 times) we surely can become the first in this group.
    Also Group C is the thoughest group and there will be plenty of good matches between those teams with hopefully a good qualifying team cough Galatasaray cough 😀
