BallinEurope Euro Trip: Travel Log (Day 3)

November 30, 2007
[Friday 1:50 a.m.] Back at the hotel now and I can give you an update about the last day of the little Eurotrip.

The day started with a nice breakfast at our hotel in Malaga and walking to the busstop to catch it on the way back to the airport. I was really amazed by the size of the Malaga airport and it is still getting increased. Luckily the people at the check in desk were very friendly as the automate we used for the check was actually running out of paper and was printing our boarding cards on Spanish air.

Arrived in Madrid, I was surprised by the cold weather and the masses of Scottish people in the streets. In fact, Aberdeen FC was playing Atletico Madrid in the soccer UEFA Cup that same night. But back to Basketball. We visited a little bit of Madrid as I had a meeting with Real Madrid Youth Basketball section later that day.

In the evening, after having not got any food so far, we went to Vista Alegre to watch the game between Real Madrid and Roanne. The Live Blog worked out pretty well after we finally had the Internet connection working.

After the game, we went to grab some food at a Tapas bar close to our hotel. That was actually great as I had some really tasty croquetas. Tomorrow, we will have our flights back home in the morning and the “normal” life will start again. At least until the next BallinEurope trip.
