NBA announces Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers visits to Europe in October

Right, then. Start calling up that calendar for October because the NBA has announced that two teams from the big league will be coming to Europe (presumably as part of the 2014 NBA Europe Live tour), with another six heading to other continents. From the NBA and Associated Press, the schedule looks like the following.

“The Oklahoma City Thunder will open the proceedings by playing Fenerbahçe Ülker on Oct. 5 in Istanbul. The Philadelphia 76ers follow a day later against Uxue Bilbao in Spain.

“The Thunder and 76ers then meet on Oct. 8 in Manchester, England.

“The Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers will meet on Oct. 10 in Manila, Philippines, and again on Oct. 13 in Taipei, Taiwan. Also in Asia, the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers will play each other on Oct. 15 in Beijing and then again three days later in Shanghai.

“In South America, the Chicago Bulls will play the Washington Wizards on Oct. 12 in Rio de Janeiro.”

and of course once again, not playing against Euroleague champs and not having the balls to play a game in Greece….

LMFAO these NBA teams are total scared little bitches. Freaking pathetic. Olympiacos and Panathinaikos both invited NBA teams to play and they wouldn’t do it……..

NBA would never play in Greece because they know they will lose by 20 points at either SEF or OAKA. No NBA team could withstand the environment their or in places like Belgrade either.

The NBA is the biggest pussy sports league on the planet. NBA teams would shit their pants the moment they entered into those courts and saw those fans.

  The NBA would never play in those places because there is no money to be made from an NBA marketing standpoint in Serbia or Greece. The NBA will also never play in Albania, Honduras or Nigeria but no one is calling them scared for that.

Another chance for European basketball to improve on it’s scary 20% or so winning record against the NBA. My Sixers incompetence(not my boy, Jrue) will be on full display come October. Will Bynum be back by then? Will he opt to workout by bowling in lieu of Bilbao ? We shall see.

Bilbao isn’t even a Euroleague team genius. They are a Eurocup team. Just more proof of what scared bitches the NBA is.

Greece generates the highest revenues for Euroleague of any European country. So Gabe is just talking out of his lying stupid redneck ass as usual.

  2. Unless you can show a link that Greece has the highest revenues for Euroleague it just has to be taken as more of your numerous lies and bullshit.
  3. Even if that was true both Turkey and Spain have bigger populations and economies than Greece so there are better marketing opportunities for the NBA. We are sorry the NBA is not able to come to Greece, they cannot come to every country in the world and Europe. Therefore they are going to go to the biggest and richest countries.
  If it makes you feel any better the NBA have invited the top Greek Euroleague teams to come to the US to play over the year. Olympiacos and Panathinaikos are 0-6 in those games losing by an average of 24 points and never even getting within single digits. Yes I’m sure the NBA is shaking in their boots.

Who cares if it’s El or EC? It doesn’t really matter. The NBA is just promoting it’s brand in Europe. That’s it and that’s all. It’s business. Can you understand that? No one takes these things seriously except you.

Everyone knows the US has DOMINATED international basketball in recent times, and the NBA is the big KAHUNA in world basketball. So suck it up!

Gabe, we all know most of these comments are by Euroleague Crazed Troll. Nothing new here. Phileus was right all along.

BTW, the guard that Troll insists is the best PG with the Knicks, Prigioni, was benched, and is no longer in the rotation. I know Troll exaggerated and all, but Prig was pretty serviceable. What’s up with that?

He stopped producing on a consistent level and Jason Kidd got a minutes bump from 27 MPG on the season to 30 in March. My guess is they are trying to iron out their play-off rotation and get firing on all cylinders for the last couple of months…. The Knicks are carrying 3 point guards and with Raymond Felton playing the way he is (16 ppg and around 5 assists in March) and Jason Kidd adding almost 7 RPG to go along with his 4 assists, 2.4 steals and 7 ppg in March, there just aren’t enough minutes to go around at the guard position….. With Carmelo out last night, JR Smith scored 36 off the bench…..

Hey Euroleague, I saw your post on the Greek All Star game on ISH. I can’t seem to register on ISH. Anyway, one thing I will agree with you is that the NBA All Star game is getting to be a tired concept. They really should re-think it. It’s not exciting at all. At least for me.

Also, I saw most of the FCB-Oly game the other day, but it wasn’t live in my area so I wasn’t sure what day it was in Europe. A couple observations: 1.V-Span does have good speed, not great speed. 2. he can shoot off the dribble. 3. he needs the ball to be effective, at least in the FCB game which Oly lost big. 4.he’s more of a scorer, not a shooter. 5. he turned it over way to much I lost count at 6 to’s. . he has average athleticism in the NBA game.

My conclusion with regards to his NBA potential : He can be a decent combo guard in the NBA off the bench . If a NBA GM will take a chance with him as a starter, he can easily average at least 15 ppg in the NBA, but I don’t know about his assists to turnover ratio. That part could be tricky.
