Tomorrow night sees the tipoff of the 2009-10 FIBA EuroChallenge, the third pan-European tournament featuring 32 of The Continent’s up-and-coming and/or smaller-market teams. Over the next two days, Ball in Europe will present a brief primer on each of the groups; first, the basics of Group A.
A few more notes on 2009/10 Euroleague teams
With the French playoffs finished and the German finals coming to an end, the last Euroleague teams will be known in the next few days. However, with still no official decision on the competition system for the next campaign, all this still cannot be considered definitive.

ULEB and FIBA Europe today announced the new format for European club competitions: Nothing really new here, though, as FIBA Europe had already published the main parts of this reform in March.
